The FEAC Program Director and Senior Faculty Mike Tiemann served as the Master of Ceremonies at the 9th annual EA Conference, presented by the 1105 Group, held September 9th and 10th at the Ronald Reagan International Trade Center in Washington D.C. By any measure the Conference, with over 400 attendees was a success but the high caliber and information filled program sessions, as noted by attendees seemed to stand out as evidence of the maturity and capability of both the presenting and attending entities. The keynotes by Kshemendra Paul, Dave Wennergren and Dennis Wisnowsky, from the government and Padmasree Warrior, of Cisco, all blended to a core theme that can be summarized as, EA is as important now, as ever, for the success of the governments missions. FEAC also conducted the 7th Annual Excellence in EA Results Awards at the Conference. In the Civilian Agency Category the winners were the GAO and HUD, in the Defense Category the winners were the DOD BTA and the Air Force. The new State And Local Category went to the Kansas Department of Corrections and the two new inductees to the Federal EA Hall-of-Fame were Mr. Thomas Lucas, Former chief architect at the IRS and Mr. John Teeter, Deputy CIO and Chief Architect at the HHS.
